The Ficus Emerald Green cultivar is one intriguing variety. The leaves of this little ficus tree can be groomed to resemble a big, glossy ball of greenery. This plant has a narrow, robust stem. The Emerald Ficus is a strong evergreen tree with oval, glossy green leaves.
The plant can be kept indoors, but do not move the plant around too much as this can put it under stress. These are the ideal shade tree and neighbor-blocking tree due its broad canopy. The plant belongs to the fig genus Ficus (one of over 700 varieties of ficus plants)
